I grew up in various cities along the Eastern Coast of the United States. Throughout my school career, I sang in choirs and ensembles, which helped to shape my love of music. At the age of 15, I received my first guitar, and have never looked back. I moved to Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C., where I sought to study under Jay Brighton. Jay had a profound influence on me in the areas of music theory, ear training, and, most importantly, the discipline of practice.
After studying with Jay for a few years, I moved to Virginia Beach, VA where I learned from incredible players such as Scott Mishoe and Jay Rakes. In the mean time, I began playing in various bands and recorded my first solo album "Martian Landscape". At times, you would even be able to catch me on stage with Paul Gilbert.
Upon graduating from high school, I wanted to further my knowledge of the music industry, so I moved to Nashville, TN and attended Middle Tennessee State University to study Recording Engineering. During my college years, I continued to play in several bands; I played on numerous recording projects; I taught private lessons; I played in musicals such as Little Shop of Horrors and Grease; and in my spare time, I studied under professional session guitarist, Gawain Reifsnyder (Take 6, Guitar.net).
After living in Nashville for several years,I knew that I needed to further my musical education and experience, so I moved to Atlanta, GA and enrolled at the Atlanta Institute of Music (A.I.M.). Upon graduating with honors from A.I.M. I was brought on staff so that the newest generation of up-and-coming musicians may learn from my knowledge and experience. In December of 2001 I played for the Keni Thomas's band "Cornbread" which was featured in the film Sweet Home Alabama, which was released September 2002. In 2003 I was the Music Director for the (Multiple Sclerosis) M.S. 150.
In 2009 not only did I play guitar, bass but I also Recorded and Produced the debut album for "Above the Break". In 2010 I moved back to Atlanta were I am currently teaching lessons and playing in a few bands.
